Salalah: Tourism and entertainment projects are critical to Khareef Dhofar (monsoon) season because they provide complete destinations that satisfy visitors' needs, encourage economic and commercial activity, and open up new prospects for investment and the use of national talent.
These locations are very popular throughout the Khareef season, attracting travelers both from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman.
They provide a combination of cultural, recreational, and economic opportunities while promoting entrepreneurship and assisting small and mediumsized businesses (SMEs), which benefit the local economy and ensure the long-term viability of tourism.
Samharam Tourist Resort is one of the destinations for the 2025 Khareef Dhofar season. It offers integrated amenities and services that blend retail, eating, and cultural and recreational activities, appealing to people of all ages.
Mohammed Ahmed Al Hadri, site supervisor at Samharam Tourist Resort, stated that the resort holds a consumer expo organized by Al Awail Company for the Management and Organization of International Exhibitions and Festivals. The exhibition includes 150 to 160 booths from several Arab and international nations, as well as separate sections to accommodate visitor demands. Additionally, a crafts section houses approximately 28 businesses for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and low-income people, overseen by the SME Development Authority (Riyada).
He said that the outdoor space has a selection of restaurants, cafés, and entertainment for both youngsters and adults. There is also a stage for children's contests and creative events. According to Musallam Abdulsalam Al Rowas, proprietor of Sar Events Company, this is the first time the Rifle event has been staged at the resort, making it the third year in a row that it has been held during the Khareef Dhofar season. He stated that the event would feature a diverse range of restaurants, a family and youth entertainment zone, and a stage with Omani and Gulf performances, as well as talented musicians from Oman and other Gulf Cooperation Council nations.
He stated that the event includes several competitions for all ages and hires young Omanis who are job seekers and freelancers. He observed that the event had more than 45 young participants this year, with a public attendance that indicated its popularity as a leisure venue during the Khareef season.
According to Sufyan Ghassan Al Rashdi of A'Dakhiliyah Governorate, Samharam Resort is an excellent holiday choice for families and guests. The diversity of contemporary amenities and activities contributes to a cheerful environment that improves the delight of your stay. He stressed the need of building additional public amenities in the future to handle the high attendance.
