Salalah: Approximately 442,100 people visited the Khareef Dhofar (monsoon) season between June 21 and July 31, 2025, a 7% increase over the same period in 2024, when 413,122 people visited. According to preliminary estimates from the National Centre for Statistics and Information, the numbers are as follows.
According to early data, the number of Omani tourists increased by 75.6% to 334,399. Visitors from GCC countries numbered 69,801, while those of other nationalities totaled 37,900.
By the end of July 2025, a total of 334,846 people had entered Dhofar Governorate by land, while 107,254 had arrived by plane, representing a 10.9% increase over those who arrived by air at the end of July 2024.
It is worth noting that 95.3% of visitors to Khareef Dhofar season through the end of July 2025 came between July 1 and July 31, with 4.7% arriving between June 21 and June 30, 2025.
