A'Rustaq: The seventh index report on the Electricity Sector Plan in the Economic and Developmental Reports - Electricity Sector Plan for the second quarter of 2025 shows substantial progress in infrastructure project implementation in the South Al Batinah Governorate.
According to Distribution Company, operational statistics reflect its commitment to building power networks to satisfy rising energy needs. The business stated that certain supervised projects have surpassed objectives in specific areas, while others are experiencing logistical issues that are anticipated to be overcome in accordance with the company's strategic plans.
The business announced that work on the Southern AlSha'abiya electrical substation in the Wilayat of Al Musanaa was finished to 100%, outstripping the planned goal. Meanwhile, the substation project in the Wilayat of Wadi AlMa'awil was 45% complete, compared to a goal of 65%.
In Nakhal, the Khazain substation project reached 53% completion, falling short of the 62% aim. In A'Rustaq, the rehabilitation program for 33kV and 11kV power networks in wadis regions achieved 90% completion, compared to a 98% objective. The business blamed delays on the complexity of working in residential areas.
According to the seventh index report, electrical extension projects across the governorate were 50% complete against a 54% goal, indicating consistent progress in addressing increasing energy demands in South Al Batinah's wilayats.
