Ibra: Today, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, along with his delegation, paid a visit to the North A’Sharqiyah Governorate. This official trip was designed to investigate ways to foster collaboration and boost investment relations between the Republic of Dagestan and the Sultanate of Oman.
The visit commenced with a formal gathering, where Mahmoud Yahya Al Dhuhli, the Governor of North A’Sharqiyah, highlighted the necessity of creating new opportunities for bilateral cooperation. He pointed out the multitude of high-quality investment prospects present in various industries, such as agriculture, tourism, education, and industry within the governorate.
In response, the Prime Minister of Dagestan reiterated his administration's dedication to bolstering both economic and cultural ties with Oman, especially given the ambitious developmental visions that both nations share.
As part of the visit, a visual display was presented, outlining the significant attributes of the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate. Additionally, specialized reports were shared, detailing sectors like agriculture, tourism, mining, higher education, and manufacturing. Discussion centered around key ongoing projects and potential avenues for future investment.
Furthermore, a dialogue session was conducted, aiming to explore methods for collaborative efforts and to exchange views on enhancing investment possibilities and initiatives focused on shared knowledge.
The delegation also visited Bidiyah Sands, where they examined the rich tourism potential of the governorate, showcasing how both its economic and tourism infrastructures are well-integrated.
Attendance at the meeting included various members from the State and Shura Councils, walis, and representatives from both the public and private sectors within the governorate, along with a delegation from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ibra Branch.
