Chairman Of Academy For Strategic, Defence Studies Receives Former Arab League Secretary General

Former Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, was received in the office of Maj. Gen. Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, at Bait Al Falaj Camp in Muscat today.

Both parties discussed a variety of issues of common concern, particularly in the realm of academia.

Brigadier Nasser Abdullah Al Qutabi, Head of the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies, and Commodore Khalid Amer Al Salti, Director General for Studies and Academic Affairs at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, were present at the gathering.

Additionally, the National Defense College (NDC) organized a dialogue session with Amr Moussa, the previous head of the Arab League.

Subjects covered throughout the discussion included those pertaining to the regional and international arenas. It also addressed strategic topics in light of regional and worldwide developments, as well as their consequences for the Arab Nation as a whole and the Sultanate of Oman specifically.

Additionally, the meeting emphasized the Arab League's consistent role in addressing a variety of topics.

The discussion session included prominent retired officers, several top members of the Sultan's Armed Forces, Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College, Maj. Gen Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, and guests from the Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Information.
