Muscat: The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) received an emergency call about a two-year-old youngster who had stopped breathing.
After speaking with the family, it was discovered that the youngster had experienced major convulsions due to a high fever, which resulted in respiratory arrest.
The operations staff immediately directed the family over the phone, giving them step-by-step instructions on how to execute CPR and deal with the situation until additional assistance could be supplied.
The CDAA reiterated its continuous preparedness to respond to emergencies, highlighting the significance of first aid training and immediate communication with the operations center in the event of a medical emergency.
