Muscat: On Thursday, Dr. Fuad Hussein, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of Iraq, was welcomed by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman.
The discussions between Sayyid Badr and Dr. Fuad revolved around enhancing collaboration between Oman and Iraq, aiming to promote mutual interests and deliver greater advantages to the citizens of both nations.
Additionally, the ministers addressed current regional and global developments. They emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination and consultation to bolster all endeavors aimed at reinforcing regional security, stability, and peace through diplomatic dialogue, peaceful resolutions, and adherence to national sovereignty and international law principles.
Qais Saad Al Amri, the Iraqi Ambassador to Oman, along with other officials from both nations, participated in the meeting.
