Riyadh: A delegation from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority visited the Directorate General of Civil Defence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to explore collaboration on civil defense between Oman and Saudi Arabia.
The group was led by Maj. Gen. Sulaiman Ali Al Husseini, Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.
The visit was part of initiatives aimed at improving bilateral ties between the two countries, in addition to exchanging information and discussing other issues of mutual interest in the area of civil security.
The delegation was greeted by Maj. Gen. Dr. Hamoud Suleiman AlFaraj, Director General of Civil Defence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and other officers.
The trip included a field visit to the Saudi Civil Defense Institute. During the visit, the Omani group learned about specialized training programs for various levels of civil defence employees.
The delegation members took note of the techniques and technology used at the institute, as well as the systems in place for risk mitigation and emergency response.
