The “Khareef Dhofar 2025 Explorer” initiative was launched on Sunday evening in Darbat Park in Dhofar Governorate.
The project seeks to improve the visitor experience during the monsoon season in Khareef Dhofar via an interactive digital platform that records their involvement in activities.
Additionally, it promotes digital transformation in event management, offers precise information on visitor patterns and distribution, fosters family engagement, and minimizes the use of paper products.
Under the patronage of HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, the launch ceremony took place.
The "Explorer" launch, according to Sumayyah Abdullah Al Ramadhani, CEO of Elif Entrepreneurship, the project's implementing firm, marks the first digital experience of its kind in Oman. It combines digital transformation, exploration, and entertainment during tourist seasons, allowing small and medium-sized businesses to engage in the vibrant and varied tourist environment.
The project is a qualitative addition to the Khareef Dhofar season, according to Mohammad Mohsin Al Maamari, an investor at Darbat Park. He claimed that it fosters sustainable tourism by fusing technology and entertainment, which creates new opportunities for tourism within the country.
The initiative's visual presentation and the introduction of the "Dhofar Khareef 2025 Explorer" digital platform were both part of the launch event. The platform enables users to:
At every event, get a digital stamp. Additionally, it allows users to manage several explorers from a single account and offers real-time, precise analytics to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
The initiative is a partnership between the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and Dhofar Municipality. Its goal is to integrate contemporary technologies into events, improve environmental sustainability, minimize waste, and promote digital transformation by automating attendance registration and analyzing visitor behavior.
