Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation today unveiled the projects that have qualified for the Falling Walls Lab International Forum in Berlin, following the evaluation process. Conclusion of the tenth edition of the Falling Walls Lab competition, which took place at the Modern College of Business and Science.
The first place was won by a research titled "Cancer Treatment Using Bacteria" by Taif Obaid Al Qaydi. The second-place prize was given to a project titled Ilmify by Baraa Yousuf Al Oufi, while the third-place award went to a project titled Quantum Mechanics in Carbon Nanotube Converters by Al Haitham Mohammed Al Kalbani finished third.
The closing ceremony was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Saif Abdullah Al Haddabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation for Research and Innovation.
The contest sought to showcase Omani researchers' talents and give them a forum to present their ideas and discoveries. It also aimed to link emerging research talent with established scientists and professionals, find and nurture promising researchers, create opportunities for international and interdisciplinary collaboration, and Create novel channels for scientific communication and long-term networking.
The event targeted college and university students, researchers, business owners, government and private employees, and job searchers who were citizens and inhabitants from many governorates.
