Muscat: In order to accomplish its goal of developing the future generation of Omani leaders, the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) established the Bawsala Fellowship Programme.
This flagship program seeks to develop exceptional young Omanis by providing them with the leadership skills, knowledge, and connections needed to play an important role in developing the nation's future.
The Bawsala Fellowship Programme, developed in collaboration with the Bawsala team of Omani university students, reflects RAM's dedication to meaningful youth engagement and alignment with Oman Vision 2040 priorities, which place youth empowerment at the heart.
A total of twenty young Omani people, ranging in age from 19 to 25, will be chosen via a competition process to participate in the initiative. They will be chosen from a varied group of students who show the desire and ability to make valuable contributions to Oman's national development.
The educational journey will include three interconnected courses that will provide the groundwork for young Omanis to develop as leaders.
The first track, Mentorship and Institutional Exposure, will connect participants with senior executives through one-to-one mentorship sessions and visits to prominent Omani institutions, allowing them to witness leadership in action.
The second stream, Leadership Development, will include extensive seminars taught by professionals, inspirational talks, and team-based activities aimed at improving leadership skills and fostering a strong sense of national duty. The third track, Applied Project Work, will require participants to perform an analytical case study on a real-world problem, proposing creative solutions with structured coaching and continuous feedback.
Dr Ali Qassim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, underscores the significance of theBawsala Fellowship Programmeand its contribution to Oman Vision 2040, stating: "The Bawsala Fellowship Programme marks a strategic milestone in advancing the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which places youth empowerment at the very heart of its mission. By equipping young Omanis with the knowledge, mindset, and leadership abilities they need, we are investing in nothing less than our nation's bright and sustainable future. "

He expressed his great pride and trust in these young leaders, emphasizing their tenacity, ambition, and commitment to use their energy for the benefit and development of the country.
To guarantee that the Bawsala Fellowship Program's content corresponds with the objectives and demands of young Omani leaders, it was co-created in collaboration with the Bawsala initiative team.
