Doha: Qatar Airways struck a massive deal with US producer Boeing on Wednesday to acquire 160 aircraft worth USD 200 billion during US President Donald Trump's trip to the Gulf Arab nation, according to CNN.

Trump said, So it's worth over USD 200 billion, but 160 in terms of the Jets, which is incredible.
So that's a record, Kelly, so congratulations to Boeing, he said, addressing his words to Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg, who was present.
According to CNN, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also signed accords on defense, including a statement of intent for defense collaboration between Qatar and the United States.
Hegseth also signed offer and acceptance forms for MQ 9B drones and FSLIDS. Trump signed a joint declaration of collaboration between Qatar and the United States of America.
According to Al Jazeera, the Emir stated at the signing ceremony that the two leaders had a productive few hours of talks on a variety of topics. "I think after signing these agreements, we are going to another level of relations," he remarked.
In response, Trump praised the Qatari emir and said it had been a very interesting couple of hours addressing issues such as the Russia-Ukraine war, Iran, and economic ties. He commended what he called a record sale achieved by American aircraft manufacturer Boeing.
The emir is a terrific guy with whom I have been friends for a long time, according to Trump.
According to Al Jazeera, Trump landed in the Qatari capital earlier in the day and received a warm welcome after completing his trip to Saudi Arabia.
The US President is on a four-day trip to the Gulf, which includes a stop in Saudi Arabia, where he made his first official trip during his first term in office from 2016 to 2020. His final trip will be to the United Arab Emirates.
