Muscat: On Sunday, Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, greeted Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Trade, at the Invest Oman lounge to discuss ways to boost trade and investment ties between the two countries.
The meeting examined Oman-Qatar economic ties and explored ways to deepen mutual cooperation in trade and investment. It seeks to generate mutual benefits and help to promote economic progress in both countries.
During the trip, a number of visual presentations were made, including an overview of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion's responsibilities, an introduction to the Invest Oman platform, and a presentation of the Ministry's strategic collaborations and foreign offices. In addition, prospects for investment via the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning were emphasized.
The Qatari team explored several parts of the Invest Oman lounge and reviewed the integrated services it offers to local and foreign investors. The facility is built as a single window to streamline processes and provide an appealing, investment-friendly climate.
The conference also included an extensive presentation on Oman's investment incentives, the Investor Residency program, and the amenities available in special economic and free zones, all of which are important elements for attracting investors to Oman.
Dr. Saleh Said Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, Ibtisam Ahmed Al Farooji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, Sheikh Jassim Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar's Ambassador to Oman, and other officials from both sides attended the meeting.
