Kuwait: Today, the Sultanate of Oman took part in the sixth session of the Governmental Forum aimed at addressing Human Trafficking in the Middle East, which took place in the State of Kuwait.
At the forum, Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, who serves as the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs and leads the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking, represented Oman's delegation.
He emphasized the measures Oman is undertaking to tackle human trafficking, which include awareness initiatives, legal frameworks, seminars, workshops, as well as providing protection and support to victims and those affected.
During the forum, discussions focused on enhancing collaboration within the region and sharing expertise among member nations to fight against human trafficking, improve protective measures and preventative strategies, and ensure the prosecution of perpetrators in line with international standards, in partnership with relevant global organizations and institutions.
