Khasab: Sayyid Ibrahim Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, chaired a meeting today with government officials, private sector representatives, experts, and municipal council members to explore ways to improve export and import operations via the governorate's official ports, particularly Khasab Port, a key economic development hub in the region.
The meeting is part of a larger effort to leverage Musandam's strategic position and logistical potential to promote economic growth and support national goals under Oman Vision 2040.
Discussions focused on streamlining goods transportation, building infrastructure to bolster the logistics industry, and investigating ways to enhance crossborder trade while increasing local value-added through export promotion and import diversification.
The participants also stressed the necessity of creating direct and indirect work possibilities for Musandam residents through these projects, supporting sustainable development in the governorate.
