Heritage Ministry Signs Agreement To Train National Cadres In Hotel Reception Etiquette

Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism today signed a collaboration agreement to fund and carry out an employment-related training program in hotel reception etiquette.

The training will be held in a number of hotel establishments in the Dhofar Governorate.

The agreement is the result of shared attempts to increase the recruitment of Omani individuals in the tourist and hospitality industries.

The training programme will be carried out in collaboration with Muscat Hospitality Academy as part of a partnership with the world-renowned Swiss Hotel Management School.

The agreement serves as a model for integration between the public and commercial sectors. It highlights continuing efforts to promote sustainable development in the tourist industry and to contribute to the national economy of the Sultanate of Oman.

The deal was a link in a chain of initiatives being carried out by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to promote and develop the tourist sector, with the goal of creating a sustainable tourist sector that contributes to overall development in the Sultanate of Oman.
