Agreement Inked To Build 3 Shelter Centres In Oman

Muscat: On Sunday, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority entered into an agreement to create three shelter centers in the wilayats of A’Suwaiq, Sohar, and Sur. The goal is to offer a secure setting furnished with all essential supplies for those affected by natural disasters and unique circumstances.

Maj.Gen Abdullah Ali Al-Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, signed the agreement alongside Zaher Said Al Rashdi, Chief Executive Officer of the executing company.

This initiative aims to establish a safe and fully equipped environment for housing individuals affected by natural incidents and emergencies. It also demonstrates Oman’s dedication to enhancing relief and shelter infrastructure, ensuring prompt and effective emergency responses, and providing humanitarian and logistical assistance.
