Pakistan Embassy Celebrates 79th Independence Day In Muscat

Muscat: To commemorate Pakistan's 79th Independence Day, the Pakistan Embassy hosted a flag raising ceremony at the Chancery, followed by a celebration at the Embassy to honor Pakistan's win in Marka-e-Haq.

Legendary cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq was the guest of honour at the event. Many Pakistani community members attended the occasion.

Messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were read. A documentary about Marka-e-Haq was presented.

Dr. Naveed Safdar Bukhari, Pakistan's ambassador, congratulated the Pakistani people on Independence Day during the event.

He stated that the Pakistani people have consistently overcome obstacles against all odds throughout history. In fact, the word "resilience" characterized the people of Pakistan. Pakistan's capacity to effectively rebuild the economy and return it on the path of growth demonstrated this.

He emphasized the importance of recognizing places for development, but equally vital to be aware of our abilities and use them to design a road to success.

The Ambassador lauded Pakistan's armed forces, stating that their spectacular win over India in Operation Bunyan un Marsoos and Marka-e-Haq demonstrated their exceptional level of professionalism.

He thanked the entire Pakistani people for the triumph and stated that the entire nation stands with our soldiers in defending Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Ambassador also lauded the Pakistani-Omani community for their critical contribution in developing Pakistan's economy through remittances and investments, as well as for serving as a link between Pakistan and Oman.
