Several Omani students studying in Japan emphasized that the Sultanate's involvement in Expo 2025 Osaka presents valuable opportunities for promoting Omani heritage, tourism, and investment prospects.
These students expressed their excitement and pride in meeting Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, who plays a significant role in representing Oman at the Expo. The event aims to introduce the Japanese audience to Oman’s unique cultural identity, tourism potential, and investment opportunities.
Khalid bin Ahmed Al Ajmi, a student at the University of Tokyo, noted that the 2025 Expo in Osaka is a major international event expected to draw over 28 million visitors from around the globe. He remarked that the Sultanate’s participation in this Expo is a source of pride, as it allows Oman to share its message with Japan and the world.
He added that Oman’s pavilion at the Expo serves as a platform to present a comprehensive cultural representation of the country. Furthermore, he highlighted that His Highness Sayyid Theyazin's engagement with the Omani students participating in this event demonstrates His Highness’ commitment to supporting and empowering Omani youth.
He remarked that the meeting with His Highness was a remarkable experience that would be cherished in our hearts and minds, enhancing our commitment and sense of duty.
Munther bin Ahmed Al Mamari from Waseda University in Tokyo stated that the Sultanate’s involvement through its pavilion at the 2025 Expo in Osaka, Japan, enhances the Sultanate’s visibility and highlights its distinctive cultural identity on the global stage.
He noted that this participation offers Omani students in Japan a valuable chance to engage in various activities and build relationships with different academic and economic entities.
He also expressed his pleasure regarding the event held at the Contemporary Art Museum in Osaka, which was under the patronage of Sayyid Theyazin.
Student Aisha bint Hamoud Al Hashmi from Waseda University in Tokyo mentioned that the Sultanate’s pavilion at the 2025 Expo in Osaka, Japan, presents a significant opportunity to introduce Japanese companies and entrepreneurs to the investment prospects in various economic sectors, while also familiarizing them with Omani identity, customs, and traditions.
She appreciated the initiative taken by Sayyid Theyazin to meet with Omani students in Japan and inquire about their studies and areas of specialization.
Fadwa bint Fahad Al Rawahi from Hiroshima University emphasized that the Sultanate’s participation in the global event of the 2025 Expo in Osaka, Japan, is a strategic opportunity to enhance Omani cultural identity and promote investment opportunities.
She stated that the Sultanate’s pavilion at the 2025 Expo in Osaka, Japan, would deepen the Japanese people's understanding of Omani culture and inform them about the investment opportunities available in Oman.
