New York: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the International Youth Forum organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in New York. This three-day event focused on enhancing global youth involvement.
The Omani delegation was headed by Ahmed Khalaf Al Adawi, Advisor for Planning and Studies at the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth, accompanied by Ambassador Omar Said Al Kathiri, Oman’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
This year marks Oman’s third consecutive participation in the forum, highlighting the ministry’s dedication to empowering Omani youth and promoting their engagement with international counterparts.
The objective of this participation is to investigate global best practices in comprehensive development and sustainable economic objectives, share insights on youth policies, and deliberate on the role of youth in transforming national and global cultures in the context of rapid digital and technological changes.
