Oman Condemns Israeli Statements On So-Called

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has vehemently denounced remarks made by the Israeli Prime Minister, as well as his assertions about the "Greater Israel".

Oman strongly condemned his unlawful expansionist plots, which openly breach international law and undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to build an independent state on their territory in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem with its capital.

Oman stated in a statement released today by the Foreign Ministry that these expansionist proposals represent a serious danger to the region's security and stability, exacerbating hostility and tension at a time when de-escalation, regional collaboration, and respect for the values of national sovereignty and good neighborliness are most required.

Oman reiterated its unwavering commitment to upholding regional countries' sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its strong opposition to any attempts to destabilize national institutions or amend the region's political geography.

Oman underlined its strong commitment to defending the Palestinian people's inalienable rights, including their right to establish an independent state within the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The Sultanate of Oman has urged the international community to take a strong position against these aggressive practices and to work to protect Palestinian people's rights, so that a just and comprehensive peace may be attained in the region.
