Yerevan: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Armenia conducted the fifth round of political talks today in Yerevan, the Armenian capital.
Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, the Foreign Ministry's Undersecretary for Political Affairs, led the Omani delegation, while Vahan Kostanyan, the Deputy Foreign Minister, led the Armenian delegation.
The two sides reviewed bilateral collaboration in a variety of areas and explored methods to expand it even more.
Sheikh Khalifa praised and applauded Armenia's choice to establish a permanent embassy in Muscat, as well as the country's decision to exempt Omani nationals from tourist visas to enter Armenia. He also notified the Armenian side of Oman's intention to include Armenian nationals in its list of countries free from entry visas to the Sultanate of Oman.
The two parties also discussed a variety of regional and global concerns of mutual interest.
