Al Rustaq: The Women's Education and Guidance Centre in South Al Batinah Governorate, which is part of the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs, has achieved a number of significant accomplishments in the first half of 2025.
These accomplishments highlight the center's critical role in empowering women and fostering religious, cultural, and social awareness through a broad range of programmes and initiatives aimed at many areas of society.
The centre supervised 113 Quran memorization schools in the field of Quranic education, with 4,281 male and female pupils enrolled. The "Noor project for qualifying female Quran memorisers continued its progress, recording 310 participants, 33 of whom completed memorising the entire Quran. Furthermore, the center performed 353 supervisory visits to Quranic schools, reaching seven different educational goals.
The center's awareness and guidance initiatives drew substantial attendance from a variety of community groups, demonstrating high public participation with its programs and its groundbreaking efforts in promoting Islamic values and religious knowledge.
The centre organized 140 training sessions for 8,042 participants, as well as 60 weekly development programs and 25 special training programs aimed at improving individual talents and empowering women in society.
The facility highlighted community collaboration by conducting 49 activities in public schools and organizing 106 different events that benefited 6,493 people, cementing its active presence in the social and educational sectors.
As part of its efforts to increase access to its programmes, the "Himam elearning platform" continues to play a pioneering role in broadcasting lectures, lessons, and interactive sessions using video conferencing across the South Al Batinah Governorate and beyond.
"Himam Platform is one of the center's flagship programs, allowing women and girls to pursue continuous learning and stay current on scholarly and advocacy advances through modern technology. " The platform has streamed dozens of sessions and courses on Sharia sciences, education, and life skills, bringing educational information to participants in their houses and distant locations. It has also attracted numerous groups of women, providing educational, academic, and family-oriented programs for kids and university attendees, making it a complete platform that combines meaningful content, captivating delivery, and broad access. The centre encourages everyone to join the platform and benefit from its numerous programs.
