Salalah: The visitor count for Dhofar Governorate during the Khareef (monsoon) season, spanning from 21 June to 31 August 2025, saw a 2% increase, totaling around 1,027,255 visitors compared to 1,006,635 visitors in the same timeframe in 2024.
Preliminary estimates for Khareef Dhofar 2025, published by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), indicate that the number of Omani visitors rose by 71.5% to 734,225. Visitors from other GCC nations amounted to 179,246, while those from various other nationalities reached 113,784.
By the end of August 2025, a total of 251,064 visitors had arrived in Dhofar via air, whereas 776,191 visitors entered through land checkpoints, reflecting a 1.3% decline compared to the land arrivals by the end of August 2024.
