Oman, Japan Explore Means Of Boosting Cooperation In Various Spheres

Tokyo: On Thursday, the seventh round of political discussions took place between the Sultanate of Oman and Japan at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo.

The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the Japanese delegation was headed by Ando Toshihide, the Assistant Minister for the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau.

During the discussions, both parties assessed their bilateral relations and sought ways to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.

The meeting also addressed several regional and international issues of shared interest.

Additionally, the Undersecretary for Political Affairs conducted a seminar on Omani-Japanese relations and the current developments in the Middle East at Oman’s embassy in Tokyo. This event attracted numerous Japanese politicians, business leaders, and academics.

The meetings were also attended by Dr. Mohammed Said Al Busaidi, the Omani Ambassador to Japan, Sheikh Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Hosni, the Head of the Asia Pacific Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with several officials from both nations.
