iPhone Air: Apple Launches "Thinnest" Iphone Ever

iPhone Air: Apple Launches

California: Apple has introduced its slimmest iPhone to date, the iPhone Air.

This latest model measures just 5.6mm in thickness. CEO Tim Cook stated it offers "professional performance in a lightweight and slim design."

The iPhone Air is equipped with a 6.5-inch ProMotion display that boasts a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Additionally, it features a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, according to The Verge.

This device is protected by a ceramic shield that surrounds a titanium frame on both sides.

Despite its elegant and lightweight design, Apple asserts that the new iPhone achieves exceptional power efficiency, thanks to the Adaptive Power feature in iOS 26 and the advanced N1 wireless chip, which lowers energy consumption by as much as 30 percent.

The iPhone Air includes a dual camera system with a 48-megapixel main camera and a 12MP telephoto lens. The 18MP front-facing camera supports Center Stage, a feature also available on the standard iPhone 17, which automatically adjusts to fit everyone in the frame, eliminating the need to rotate the phone to landscape mode.

The device exclusively supports eSIMs to optimize battery space.

Apple claims that the iPhone Air provides all-day battery life and is also launching a variety of new accessories, including updated MagSafe options and custom-designed cases.

The iPhone Air is powered by Apple's new A19 Pro chipset. Tim Millet, Apple's vice president of platform architecture, mentioned that this new chip, featuring a six-core CPU, is the fastest smartphone processor available.

Apple has released the iPhone Air in black, white, gold, and sky blue, with a price tag of USD 999.

The introduction of the new iPhones precedes the launch of iOS 26.
