Muscat: The Ministry of Health concluded the Dhofar Forum for Health Digital Transformation today with a set of recommendations focused at speeding up digitalization in the Health sector and strengthening the cyber security system.
These initiatives are designed to enhance the quality of health services and meet the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
The two-day conference, themed "Digitization of health and innovation: Towards an outstanding, sustainable healthcare service," had extensive participation from administrative, clinical, and research personnel. Nursing employees from healthcare, military, and security organizations, as well as representatives from the commercial sector, attended.
The forum made numerous important recommendations, including: creating teams at the directorate-general level in the governorates to expedite digital transition; and bringing expert Omani workers to the governorates. To support the sustainability of this transformation, new medical technology will be implemented to improve the quality of health care services and performance efficiency while also raising awareness. on the danger of cyberattacks and the significance of data security in health facilities.
Participants also requested that central digital transformation teams make frequent field trips to various governorates to supervise the execution of programs, detect concerns, and share information. expertise to help guide the health digital transformation process quickly and effectively.
The forum's debates addressed a number of key topics, including the adoption of current technology, increasing the efficiency of health systems, strengthening cybersecurity, and analyzing national experiences in digital innovation. Discussions also stressed the significance of connection between health institutions across several governorates.
