Sohar: Hafeet Rail, the project's developer and operator, received the in a move that demonstrates the rapid development of the Oman-UAE Railway Network. The initial delivery of rail tracks via the General Cargo Terminal at Sohar Port and Freezone, which is run by C. Steinweg Oman LLC.

This accomplishment marks a crucial turning point in the project's implementation, which connects the Sultanate of Oman with the United Arab Emirates and lays the groundwork for future developments. the course for the following phase of ground building.

With a total weight of 5,700 metric tons, the consignment consists of over 3,800 25-meter-long pieces of (E260) rail track.

This delivery is a part of a total planned supply of 33,100 metric tonnes that are produced at ArcelorMittal's plant in Gijón, Spain, in accordance with the strictest international rail transport standards.

The railway tracks are designed to handle heavy freight and passenger loads of up to 32. 4 tons per axle, which guarantees maximum performance and long-term reliability. customized to suit the project's geographical and environmental circumstances.

Each rail has been produced with utmost accuracy to ensure structural integrity and is supported by cutting-edge fastening methods that employ high-strength clips and bolts to provide stability. and resistance to the demanding operating environment of both freight and passenger trains.

The next stage of the project, which involves track laying work along the route in tandem with, is made possible by the arrival of this shipment. plans to receive more shipments in the upcoming months. The 238-kilometer Oman–UAE Railway Network, which will connect Sohar Port with the UAE's national railway system, reaches a major milestone with this development.

The project, which was created and run by Hafeet Rail, is the result of a strategic alliance between Asyad Group, Etihad Rail, and Mubadala.
