Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian praised the beneficial and productive part played by the private sector in both nations, expressing hope that these efforts would contribute to increased investment and commercial exchanges between them.
They also expressed happiness with the degree of political engagement and collaboration between the two nations at all levels.

"In response to an invitation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran paid an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday and Wednesday, 27-28 May 2025.
This trip is based on the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran's strong historical connections, as well as the friendly populations of both countries. The goal of the trip was to improve bilateral relations and demonstrate the mutual respect and admiration between the governments and people of both countries, which are based on the concepts of religion, brotherhood, and good neighborliness.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman, met with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian in an official round of talks. They discussed possibilities for joint cooperation and bilateral relations, with an emphasis on economic and investment collaboration in a variety of sectors, as well as coordination on issues that promote both countries' interests and benefit their populations. They expressed satisfaction with the existing level of collaboration and emphasized the necessity to strengthen it by looking into new options for economic collaboration.
The two leaders also commended the progress made by joint committees and stressed the need of holding regular meetings to promote bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas.

His Majesty the Sultan and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran addressed a number of regional and global topics of mutual interest, including the situation in the Gaza Strip.
In this regard, they emphasized the importance of a complete and permanent ceasefire, as well as the cessation of atrocities against civilians and the genocide being perpetrated by Israeli occupation troops against the Palestinian people in Gaza and throughout the Palestinian territories.
The two sides urged the international community to take responsibility for delivering relief and humanitarian aid to the helpless people living throughout the Gaza Strip. They also emphatically opposed any programs that would relocate or oppress the Palestinian people.
