Nizwa: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (OCCI) branch in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, in collaboration with the Tax Authority, hosted a seminar on Wednesday titled: Tax Rights and Obligations for Private Companies and Establishments.

The seminar was designed to teach commercial sector officials about major tax duties and applicable legislation in the Sultanate of Oman. It intended to improve tax compliance, which would promote financial stability and the long-term viability of public finances.

The seminar addressed a variety of themes delivered by Tax Authority professionals, including Oman's tax system, income tax, excise tax, and value-added tax (VAT).

Furthermore, the session gave comprehensive information on the tax system's registration processes, corporate obligations, and tax return submission methods.

This workshop is part of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry's initiatives, in conjunction with the Tax Authority, to increase tax awareness in the commercial community and promote a compliance-friendly atmosphere that keeps up with the Sultanate of Oman's changing economic and financial system.
