Muscat: Al Amerat Events, organized and overseen by the Wali of Al Amerat Office at Al Amerat Park in collaboration with various government and community groups, wrapped after three weeks of diverse activities and interactive event experiences. It ran from May 25 to June 14, consisting of days of high vitality, creativity, and community interaction.
This event boosted local tourism while also showcasing Al Amerat's cultural and community treasures. It also created safe and pleasant spaces that integrate entertainment and education for people of all ages. The pavilions offered a variety of activities, including heritage and artistic performances, children’s games, popular cuisine, exhibits for productive families and entrepreneurs, workshops, competitions, and other activities. It enhanced the event's vibrant community atmosphere and drew visitors of all ages.
The Youth presence was a significant component in event organising, with duties such as corner supervision, visitor reception, and daily activity coordination. The young organisers' experiences included logistical obstacles, teamwork, communication, and event management abilities.
Organizers shared their thoughts and experiences during this event. Kawthar Al Maskari of the Al Amerat Charity Team described it as an inspiring experience and recommended repeating it in the winter, with additional promotion and more support for productive families. She noted that this expertise improved cooperation among various groups. Thus, positively influencing community support and raising the standard of living for productive families.
Aisha Al Ghusaini, head of the Omani Women's Association in Al Amerat, stated that preplanning helped to overcome obstacles, particularly those related to distributing responsibilities among participating organizations and prioritizing them. Teamwork allowed her to identify community personalities and the productive families' requirements, she said, adding that the event helps youths' roles and economic prospects.
Bayan Nasser explained that joining in the Al Amerat Charity Team provided her with a special opportunity to get to know the participants and benefit from a variety of showcased products. “The families’ interaction and marketing style, the games, foods, and horses, attracted her attention,” she said.
Mazen Al Naabi, a member of the organising committee, stated that this event helps to increase youth participation, especially since it focuses on Omani initiatives. Tariq Al Ameri stated that his organisational experience has prepared him to be an effective change agent, and he hopes to raise the number of future events, noting that this event provides temporary employment opportunities for young job seekers. Marhoon AlHassani also took part by performing AlRazha, suggesting that the event's most notable features were folk arts and productive families. Additionally, encouraging children's participation by focusing on suitable and popular hobbies and games.
The young effective presence helped to establish a dynamic and inventive organizational environment that demonstrated their capacity to adapt, grow, and take action. This event highlighted the importance of utilizing local youth strengths and directing them toward voluntary community service, which fosters the ideals of active citizenship and loyalty while also promoting collective giving and self-initiative.
Al Amerat events provided a wonderful platform for local entrepreneurs and productive families to showcase their goods and services in a lively community. Thus directly interacting with the public to build their self-confidence and projects. Several attendees shared their wonderful experiences at this event, particularly local platforms for economically supporting entrepreneurs.
Yaqeen Al Ameriya received an impressive response from guests, indicating a positive sign of the quality of the offered product. She said that this experience helped her gain self-confidence and improve her marketing and communication abilities. She noted that, while her prior participation was in a college internal event, these events represented her first direct experience with customers, requiring her to learn how to interact with them.
Majid Al Kathiri emphasized that events are crucial for boosting startup entrepreneurs' self-confidence and projects. Nasser AlMaashari called this occasion a genuine inspiration for small enterprises, providing them the confidence to showcase and sell their items in an accessible and encouraging setting during his first excellent encounter. Aline Al Balushi referred to her experience as "her first participation in exhibitions," noting that the venue was excellent and that the event was so successful that it encouraged her to participate in future exhibitions.
Khalfan Al Wahaibi was glad to take part, commending the organization for organizing an event that supports home enterprises, attracts visitors, and advertises products. This is the first time he has participated in an organized official institution, and he has described his experience as “so successful and inspiring to continue. ”

Nasr Al Wahaibi enjoyed the home goods section and horse shows. He suggested holding the events at more appropriate times in terms of weather and official holidays, as well as expanding the diversity.
Khalfan Al Jabri offered to use his free time to support Omani vendors, complimenting the games and horses section. He proposed horse races, folk arts, and more vendors in the future. Musallam Arafat Al Rahbi attended to watch the events and support productive families, enjoying the horse displays and food section. He suggested planning the event in winter to make it more comfortable and pleasant for guests and participants.
These events acted as a space for community people, incorporating entertainment and local support in a dynamic family feeling. As well as reflecting the desire to plan comparable events, it evolves in terms of time and content.
