Muscat: The primary committee for the Traffic Safety Competition addressed a number of issues relating to the competition, including the nomination mechanism and criteria, project evaluation, and the media strategy for the fourth Traffic Safety Competition for 2025/2026.
The study took place during the committee's meeting today at the Directorate General of Traffic, chaired by Maj. Gen. Abdullah Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations and chairman of the committee. Representatives from numerous concerned government departments attended the meeting.
This competition is organised as a result of the proactive involvement of government and commercial organisations, as well as community people from all walks of life, in raising traffic awareness and fostering a road safety culture. This has an immediate influence on the behavior of road users, helping to reduce crashes.
