Manah: The Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers in the Wilayat Manah of the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate welcomed 26 new students from the United Kingdom, Comoros, Hungary, Brunei Darussalam, Pakistan, India, Vietnam, Tanzania, Ghana, and Iran.
An orientation day was planned for the new cohort, starting with an introductory session including the institute's academic and administrative personnel, as well as supervisors of the cultural program intended for students.
This was accompanied by a thorough tour of the institute's amenities and educational services.
The orientation program featured a visual presentation of Oman, emphasizing its cultural, civilizational, and humanitarian qualities, as well as the characteristics that make the country a top place for Arabic language instruction.
Students also received support to help them adjust and integrate into Omani culture.
In addition to Arabic language training, the academic program includes a variety of cultural and educational activities such as evening events, lectures, field excursions to historical and natural places, Arabic calligraphy classes, and a “Language Partner” project to promote cultural and linguistic interaction with the local community.
