RAM Launches Executive Leadership Programme For Public Sector Leaders

Muscat: In an effort to nurture national skills within the public sector, the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) just established the Executive Leadership Programme for Department Heads.

The strategic program aims at top leaders in the public sector and is intended to improve skills via a cutting-edge executive learning journey centered on leadership, management development, and institutional innovation.

It is expected to make a substantial impact on improving organizational efficiency throughout government agencies in the Sultanate of Oman.

Dr. Fathiya Al Rashdi, Vice President for Program Affairs at the Royal Academy of Management, stated, "The launch of the Executive Leadership Program for Department Heads is a crucial step in achieving the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by developing leaders with a renewed growth mindset capable of leading innovative, high-performance teams. "

"This comprehensive program is intended to help participants grow their leadership and management skills, increase their understanding of institutional innovation, and prepare them for the quickly changing workplace," she said. The various learning modules will help create a new generation of government leaders who are able to initiate reforms and promote innovation in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Executive Leadership Program has room for thirty participants, including department heads and their counterparts in supervisory positions throughout the civil and military administration of Oman.

The Executive Leadership Programme at RAM will consist of five extensive courses that aim to improve students' leadership, management, and creative skills.

The program starts with instruction in leadership and negotiation skills, along with promoting a growth mindset and improving skills in managing oneself, teams, and organizations.

The second module, which concentrates on creative thought, innovation strategies, and adaptive leadership, examines executive innovation.
The third module places an emphasis on financial understanding and covers topics such as government budgeting concepts, financial data analysis, investment strategies, and efficient reporting.

Project and risk management strategies that are crucial for the effective implementation of programs are covered in the fourth module.

The fifth module, last but not least, will focus on project presentations, highlighting improved communication, confidence, and the use of cutting-edge presentation technology.

The immersive learning adventure will also include a hackathon with a renowned panel of experts and presenters, site visits, accelerator experiences, virtual reality activities, and in-person training and mentoring sessions.

Participants will be able to improve their influence as resilient, strategic leaders who can, among other skills and abilities, think creatively, implement innovation in their roles, build effective teams, come up with novel solutions, and improve their communication and confidence to lead effectively and bring about positive change in their organizations after successfully completing the program.
