Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued two royal orders today, which read as follows:
Royal Decree. No. 53/2025 ratifies a deal between the Sultanate of Oman's government and the Russian Federation's government on the reciprocal waiver of visas, signed in Moscow on April 22, 2025.
Article (1) approves the aforementioned agreement in accordance with the version annexed to this decree.
Article (2) states that this Royal Decree must be published in the Official Gazette and implemented beginning on the day it is issued.
Royal Decree No. 52/2025 abolishes the Oman Center for Governance and Sustainability.
According to Article (1), the Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability will be disbanded.
Article (2) states that the Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability's allocations, sources, rights, responsibilities, and assets will be transferred to the Financial Services Authority.
According to Article (3), Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability personnel would be relocated to the Financial Services Authority, together with their existing financial grades.
Article (4) revokes anything that conflicts with this decree or violates its conditions.
Article (5) states that this ruling will be published in the Official Gazette and implemented from the date of release.
