Oman Denounces Israeli Occupation Of Additional Syrian Territories

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli military's continued occupation of additional Syrian territory within the buffer zone. Oman criticized the blatant disregard for the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, highlighting the ongoing bombardment of locations in Damascus and other regions, which has led to the deaths of innocent civilians.

Oman emphasized that these actions constitute a serious breach of international law and the resolutions of the Security Council, posing a significant obstacle to the pursuit of peace and stability in Syria.

The Sultanate of Oman pointed out that this violation contributes to Israel's extensive history of unlawful conduct in the region. It demonstrates an aggressive stance and a policy aimed at undermining international law whenever possible.

In a statement released today by the Foreign Ministry, Oman reiterated its call for the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in addressing Israeli violations and misconduct under international law. Oman reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Syrian and Palestinian peoples and their rightful claim to reclaim their occupied lands and achieve full sovereignty.
