Oman, Bahrain Explore Strengthening Industrial Partnership

Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, met today with Abdulla Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The two parties explored strategies for improving cooperation between Omani and Bahraini factories by using available production inputs in both countries. They also looked at jointly promoting industrial items to attract foreign investments and improve national industries' competitiveness in regional and international markets.

Both ministers stressed the importance of implementing memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries, which were among the outcomes of Bahrain's historic visit to the Sultanate of Oman in January 2025. They also emphasized the significance of building on existing accords to expand industrial and trade collaboration.

Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Dr. Jumaa Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain's Ambassador to Oman, and other officials from both countries attended the meeting.
