The military Hajj mission returned home on Tuesday after completing this year's pilgrimage in the Holy Land.
Upon their arrival at Al Seeb Air Base, Maj. Gen (retired) Hamad Sulaiman Al Hatmi welcomed the mission, along with several high-ranking officers from the Sultan’s Armed Forces and other military and security branches.
The military Hajj mission returned on multiple transport aircraft operated by the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).
The delegation consisted of several pilgrims and administrative staff members from the Sultan’s Armed Forces and various military and security units. All participants of the mission successfully performed the Hajj rituals and returned in good health.
The organization of the military Hajj mission is in accordance with the directives of His Majesty the Supreme Commander and is coordinated every year by the Moral Guidance and Military Protocol Department of the Sultan’s Armed Forces.
Thorough administrative and health protocols pertaining to the mission were put in place in collaboration with the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the Omani Hajj Mission, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Oman, and other pertinent authorities.
The military team was supported by a complete administrative group that included experts in administration, medical services, media, and technical assistance.
