Labour Ministry Launches Strategy For National Occupational Standards

Muscat: On Monday, the Ministry of Labour launched a National Occupational Standards (NOS) plan, which aims to build an integrated professional system for competency development and the promotion of a labor market-oriented culture of work and productivity.

The ceremony was held under the supervision of Dr. Mahad Said Ba'Owain, Minister of Labour.

The plan intends to link educational and training results with labor market needs, improve the quality of vocational training, and promote long-term growth in a variety of economic areas. It also establishes the groundwork for a free labour market run by competent national personnel.

The strategy's approach (to build a highly qualified national workforce) corresponds with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
