Muscat: Following direction from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and the Ministry of Health, Indian School Darsait is implementing virtual classes across all grades due to a chickenpox outbreak.
As outlined in a notice from the school administration, online sessions commenced on April 27, 2025, and will run until Thursday, May 1, 2025. Students in Grades I through XII are expected to adhere to their standard class schedules via their teachers' Google Classrooms. Furthermore, Balvatika and Kindergarten sessions will also transition online, with class timings to be provided by their respective instructors.
The school has urged parents to keep an eye on their children for any signs of chickenpox. It is critical that students who are not fully recovered do not return to school when in-person classes resume. A medical clearance certificate will be required for any student wishing to rejoin campus activities post-recovery.
Additionally, parents are asked to inform their child's class teacher promptly about any verified cases of chickenpox.
