Indian PM Modi Arrives In Maldives, Received By President Muizzu Other Senior Leaders

Male: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Maldives on Friday as part of the second leg of his two-nation trip. Upon his arrival, President Muizzu gave him a cordial welcome.

The two officials were photographed greeting each other with a hug. The Foreign Minister, Defence Minister, Finance Minister, and Minister of Homeland Security for the Maldives attended the ceremony.

The Maldivian capital, Male, had a joyful appearance on Friday, with enormous banners, bright banners, and fluttering Indian flags as the island nation prepared to greet Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his two-day official visit.

Posters with the message "Warm Greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi" were put throughout the city, and several banners included a photo of PM Modi. Indian flags draped the streets, and numerous children were spotted carrying drawings and pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in preparation for his visit.

Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the country's 60th anniversary of independence as the Guest of Honour.

This is Prime Minister Modi's third visit to the Maldives and the first by any head of state or government during President Muizzu's term.

Indians residing in the Maldives welcomed the Prime Minister's arrival.

Before to PM Modi's visit, an Indian community member told ANI, "We are proud that we have a powerful leader. " We applaud Operation Sindoor, his conduct, and India's progress.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will meet with President Mohamed Muizzu to explore methods to enhance bilateral collaboration in critical sectors.

The trip also commemorates the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between India and the Maldives. India has been crucial in assisting the Maldives with development aid, infrastructure initiatives, and emergency aid in recent years.
