Dhaka: The Indian Medical Team, which included professionals from two of India's premier hospitals, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, returned to India on Monday evening after finishing their mission in Bangladesh, according to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.

The four-member team arrived in Bangladesh on July 23, 2025, to fulfill the assurance of support and assistance given by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the deadly plane disaster at Milestone School and College in Dhaka on July 21, 2025.

During their stay in Dhaka, the Indian Medical Team collaborated with their Bangladeshi colleagues at the National Institute of Burn & Plastic Surgery (NIBPS), providing technical medical assistance to support the treatment and rehabilitation of the Milestone tragedy victims.

According to the statement, the Indian delegation praised the treatment process used at NIBPS and exchanged expert ideas for handling the most serious cases.

India is still prepared to provide Bangladesh with whatever assistance is necessary for crucial medical care and rehabilitation of victims of the terrible event, including any need for more sophisticated treatment in India, according to the statement.

The visit of the Indian medical team in the aftermath of this national disaster in Bangladesh demonstrates the deep-rooted nature of people-to-people ties and the unbreakable ties of compassion that unite our two nations, according to the statement.
