Muscat: On Sunday, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will embark on an official visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
A declaration regarding this was made by the Diwan of Royal Court. The statement is presented as follows:
"Due to the longstanding relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will travel to Algeria from May 4th to 5th, 2025, following an invitation extended by President Abdelamdjid Tebboune of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
This visit highlights the commitment of both nations' leaders to strengthen their fraternal connections.
During this time, the leaders will engage in discussions about various areas of collaboration, aiming to elevate the bilateral relationship to a level that aligns with their aspirations across multiple sectors and addresses common interests.
Furthermore, they will share insights on issues that promote collective Arab initiatives, alongside discussions on regional and global developments.
Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan will be a distinguished official delegation, including HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources; Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health; and Saif bin Nassir Al Badaai, Oman’s Ambassador to Algeria.
