Gulf Film Festival Opens Submissions For Participation

Muscat: The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth has announced the start of submissions for the next Gulf Film Festival, which will be held in Muscat from November 16 to 19, 2025.

The occasion will be organized in collaboration with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretariat General and will adhere to the festival's regulatory structure established by the GCC Secretariat General as part of the implementation of the GCC Cultural Strategy 20202030.

The ministry has invited all Omani filmmakers to submit their films and compete in the festival's several categories, which include feature films, short films, and documentaries.

Participants will compete for monetary prizes, with awards given to the finest feature film, short film, and documentary, as well as other honors including Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and Best Actor and Actress.

This event provides Omani talent with an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their ingenuity on a Gulfwide stage, cementing Oman's position in the regional cinematic scene.
