Muscat: On Wednesday, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation hosted the first annual forum to promote integration between academic and industrial sectors.
The forum, which is being hosted in Muscat, aims to open up opportunities for fruitful dialogue and cooperation, as well as exchanging knowledge between the two sectors.
The opening ceremony was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.
Eighteen agreements were signed at the forum to encourage community participation in enhancing education, with the primary goal of strengthening links between higher education institutions and society.
The agreements are intended to encourage a culture of endowment in support of education. They concentrate on educating students and members of teaching and administrative departments. They also address participation in events and activities hosted by educational institutions.
Additionally, the forum featured visual presentations from private higher education institutions, public and private sector organizations, and the Siraj Education Endowment Foundation.
The Ministry also provided a presentation on the Ejaad platform. The presentation emphasized cooperation between academic and business sectors.
The Ministry emphasized the characteristics of collaborative initiatives and projects. It described the effects of initiatives and projects on attaining comprehensive education, sustainable learning, and research that supports the growth of a knowledge-based society.
