Muscat— The Environment Authority has confirmed that there are no unusual radiation or atmospheric pollutants in the Sultanate of Oman, assuring that the environmental condition remains stable and safe to date.
The Authority encouraged people and residents to seek information from official sources and to avoid spreading rumors or unverified information.
In a statement, the authority underlined its constant monitoring of ongoing regional developments as part of its national responsibility in tracking and evaluating any possible environmental effects, such as radiation pollution.
It is stated that it coordinates with relevant national units to monitor data published by regional and international monitoring centers, in addition to analyzing readings from the early warning radiation monitoring system installed across Oman’s governorates. These initiatives are intended to guarantee readiness and effective response to any changes affecting environmental safety.
In keeping with its promise to protect the environment and serve society, the Environment Authority is conducting ongoing regulatory and technical efforts in the Sultanate of Oman to safeguard natural resources.
