Muscat: On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, an earthquake was detected in the Arabian Sea, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Center (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University.
According to an announcement published online by the EMC: A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the Arabian Sea at 2:02 p.m. MCT and at a depth of 10 kilometers. The earthquake happened 235 kilometers from Salalah.
