Muscat: On Friday, May 23, 2025, the Sultanate of Oman's tallest flagpole will be dedicated, according to Muscat Municipality.
The tallest flagpole will be unveiled in Al Khuwair Square in the Ministries District, spanning more than 18,000 square metres and standing 126 metres tall.
The flagpole was made of iron with 135 tons of steel. The flagpole's outside diameter at the base is 2,800 mm, but the diameter at the highest point is 900 mm. The Omani flag measures 18 meters in length and 31. 5 meters in width. The flagpole is also equipped with an airplane warning lighting system.
