Omani-Russian Business Forum Opens New Vistas Of Bilateral Investments

Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) hosted an OmaniRussian Business Forum on Monday as part of the visit of Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, to the Sultanate of Oman.

The purpose of the forum was to foster commercial ties between the two nations. It covered strategies for strengthening economic and investment collaboration and creating new opportunities for investment and cooperation in a number of key industries. Additionally, it discussed boosting business trade and looking into potential investment prospects, particularly in the areas of agriculture, tourism, trade, fisheries, livestock, and building.

The forum was aimed at government agencies, importers, exporters, manufacturers, investors, and wholesale businesses.

Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov emphasized during the forum that the Republic of Dagestan places a high priority on deepening collaboration with the Sultanate of Oman across a variety of industries and that such fora mark significant steps in fostering future relationships between the two nations.

As part of the OCCI's plan to foster trade and economic relations with other nations around the globe, Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, the chairman of the OCCI, stated that the Omani-Russian Forum represents the Chamber's goal of improving collaboration between Oman and Dagestan.

The forum, according to Al Rowas, serves as a beginning for more productive collaboration, inspires enterprises and businesses, and strengthens the Chamber's position in fostering entrepreneurship and advancing national economic objectives.

The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Dagestan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the forum. The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration between the two sides in a number of key economic areas.

Additionally, there was a visual presentation at the forum called Explore the Omani Market. Shurooq Hamad Al Farsi, the head of the OCCI's Committees Department, gave the presentation. Shurooq discussed the investment prospects in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the current economic developments taking place there.

The Dagestani delegation unveiled a promotional film highlighting investment possibilities in Dagestan, the region's comparative strengths, and its strategic position as a desirable investment center in terms of economics and trade.

Business owners from Oman and Russia engaged in bilateral talks at the conclusion of the conference. The meetings discussed potential areas for future collaboration and shared ideas on trade and investment prospects that may benefit all those involved.
