Khasab: The All of Oman project's activities began on Monday in the Wilayat of Khasab, marking the tenth stop in a series of field meetings organized by the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Followup Unit.
The event was organized under the patronage of Sayyid Ibrahim Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, and drew a large number of people from both the public and commercial sectors.
This effort seeks to enhance links with governorates and enable them to design their own development goals and plans using a decentralized approach that reflects the objectives of the ambitious national vision. The event will last three days.
The program features video presentations that depict attempts to achieve the vision's objectives, with a focus on the priority of sustainable governorate and urban growth. It also provides a number of workshops, including one on target-setting and monitoring systems, one on development techniques, and one on change management. These workshops aim to strengthen the institutional capacities of government and private organizations, hence contributing to sustainable development.
The project also includes an interactive session with the governorate's youth, encouraging them to discuss Oman Vision 2040, gather their thoughts, and answer their questions. The meeting also hopes to involve a group of inspirational young people from each governorate by presenting their stories and successes.
In a statement, Sayyid Ibrahim said: The visit of the All of Oman project demonstrates the country's strong commitment to applying the concept of decentralization and increasing direct communication between persons in charge of implementing the vision and governorate development. He said that this action demonstrates the Followup Unit's strong interest in monitoring the execution of plans and strategies aimed at meeting the vision's ambitious targets.
He also stated: Our emphasis is on improving performance levels, achieving efficiency and happiness to achieve our economic goals and improve society wellbeing, while always stressing that people are the core, purpose, and foundation of the concept.
He stated that Musandam Governorate is now carrying out a number of development programs that are in accordance with the vision's goals.
